Novbahar — Deep Navy Kashmiri Aari Co-ord Set
Description
Deep navy is not a colour that announces itself. It settles. It stays. It makes everything around it — the ivory embroidery, the sage green thread, the person wearing it — look more considered than they planned. The Novbahar Deep Navy Co-ord Set was built on exactly that quality.
Part of the Novbahar 2026 Collection by KashmirPheran — our first collection of Kashmiri Aari embroidery co-ord sets designed by artisans rooted in the Kashmir Valley — this piece is for women who dress with intention, not noise.
The co-ord is made in Ruby Cotton — lightweight and breathable, chosen because deep navy in a heavy fabric loses its elegance in an Indian summer. Ruby Cotton keeps the silhouette fluid and the wear comfortable across long days. Against the deep navy base, the ivory and sage Kashmiri Aari embroidery — floral motifs drawn from Kashmir's centuries-old craft vocabulary — creates a contrast that is precise without being loud.
The embroidery runs across the V-cut neckline, full straight sleeves, side panels of the tunic, and the hemline of the pants — a complete, deliberate finish that rewards a second look. The straight-cut tunic sits at the thigh with side slits, paired with straight pants. The fit is relaxed and structured in equal measure — the kind of silhouette that works as well at a work gathering as it does at a summer evening out.

How to Style
For festive evenings — pair with gold chandelier earrings, a silk clutch in ivory or gold, and block heels. Deep navy at night is effortless formality — the ivory embroidery catches light in a way that needs nothing added.
For travel — style with white sneakers, a structured backpack, and minimal gold studs. The full sleeves and straight-cut silhouette make it comfortable across long journeys while still looking put-together at every destination.
For a casual summer outing — wear with tan kolhapuris or slip-on sandals, a woven potli bag, and your hair loose. Navy and ivory is one of the most timeless colour combinations in ethnic wear — it never needs justification.
About the Craft & the Artisans
Kashmiri Aari embroidery is one of India's most recognised craft traditions — known for its confident floral motifs, its precise use of colour, and the generations of design knowledge embedded in every pattern. The craft takes its name from the aari, a fine hooked needle historically used to draw thread through fabric in continuous chain-stitch loops.
The motifs on every piece in the Novbahar Collection were designed by artisans based in the Kashmir Valley — craftspeople who carry pattern-making knowledge specific to this region, passed down through families across generations. The embroidery is produced in Kashmir, and each co-ord set is stitched and finished there — ensuring the creative and economic value of this craft stays rooted in the community that created it.
At KashmirPheran, we believe Kashmiri craft deserves a global audience — not preserved behind glass, but worn, lived in, and taken into the world. The Novbahar 2026 Collection is our contribution to that.
