Its Aari embroidery is worked tone on tone, in shades of pale sky blue. A grand yoke of paisleys, curling scrolls and leaves cascades down the chest like light spreading across the evening sky, and it is repeated on the back. Leaf sprays drift from the shoulders onto the sleeves, and the cuffs, pockets and hem carry the same soft blue.
