Description
In Kashmiri music, the dilruba is the instrument whose voice is said to steal the heart; its very name means “the one who captures hearts.” Wandeh Dilruba is made in that spirit: a pheran in warm brick red, glowing like a hearth on a winter evening, and as quietly captivating as a melody heard from the next room.
Its Aari embroidery blooms in soft peach, beige and sage green. A yoke of blossoms and leaves frames the split neckline like a garland, while two long scroll vines climb the side panels beside the pockets, unfurling bloom after bloom like notes rising on the strings. Floral trails finish the cuffs, and a single blossoming spray rests at the back of the neck.
