Description
Long treasured by the Mughal court, Marjaan, red coral, was set into jewellery as a symbol of warmth and protection. Wandeh Marjaan carries its glow into the heart of winter: a pheran in deep rust red, rich as polished coral.
Its Aari embroidery is worked in soft, quiet tones. Chinar leaves in taupe and cream drift down from the scalloped V-neckline in a graceful cascade, among ivory blossoms, clusters of grapes and sage-green fern sprays, like an autumn branch caught against a fire-lit wall. Fine golden leaf trails trace the cuffs and pockets, and a single leaf rests at the back of the neck.
