Wandeh Neelam – Sapphire Blue Kashmiri Pheran with Hand Sozni Autumn Leaf & Copper Tilla Embroidery
Hamiast Fashion
Art: KP.25045-XS
Description
Kashmir has given the world its rarest sapphire, the Neelam, a blue so deep and luminous that it became a legend. Wandeh Neelam carries that radiance into the winter, on a base of rich sapphire blue.
Across the yoke drift hand-worked Sozni autumn leaves in crimson, coral, mustard and rose, as if the last chinar leaves had fallen onto a winter sky. Leaf by leaf, the artisan’s needle builds a jewel-like band that follows the split neckline into a graceful V, framed by a fine copper Tilla vine like a setting around a precious stone. That copper glow continues through the piece: Tilla bands, edged with a delicate red leaf stitch, trace the cuffs, outline both pockets and run along the side slits to the hem.
Bold in colour and relaxed in cut, Wandeh Neelam is made for festive winter gatherings and for days when you want to be noticed.
