Wandeh Chinar – Caramel Brown Kashmiri Pheran with Hand Sozni Chinar Leaf & Tilla Embroidery
Hamiast Fashion
Art: KP.25044-XS
Description
When autumn turns to Wandeh in Kashmir, the chinar is the last to let go. Its leaves burn gold, rust and amber before the first snow falls. Wandeh Chinar holds that fleeting moment on a rich caramel-brown base, warm as the Valley’s last autumn light.
At its heart is a yoke of hand-worked Sozni chinar leaves in mustard, burnished gold and deep rust. Leaf by leaf, the artisan’s slender needle builds a dense band that follows the split neckline into a graceful V, as if the leaves had gathered there on their way to the ground. A fine silver Tilla vine frames them like heirloom jewellery, and silver Tilla bands, edged with a delicate black leaf stitch, trace the cuffs, outline both pockets and run along the side slits to the hem.
Relaxed in cut and deeply warm in spirit, Wandeh Chinar is made for crisp mornings, family gatherings and long winter evenings by the kangri.
