Description
On the banks of the Dal, beneath the Zabarwan hills, lies Nishaat Bagh, the garden of joy. Its terraces have bloomed for centuries, and even in the hush of winter they hold the memory of every flower. Wandeh-e-Nishaat carries that garden into the cold months: a rose-pink pheran, matching trousers and a softly draped stole, composed as one graceful ensemble.
Every motif is hand-worked in Sozni. At the centre, two paisleys turn towards each other beneath a blossoming crown, like lovers meeting in the garden. On either side, a trail of vine roundels climbs the length of the pheran like the garden’s terraced paths, each one framing a flower, with tiny birds nestled among the leaves. Delicate sprigs are scattered across the body, and the embroidered neckline, sleeves and cuffs complete the composition. The stole carries an embroidered border and scattered motifs, and the trousers are finished with embroidery at the hem.
