Wandeh Kong – Midnight Black Kashmiri Pheran with Hand Sozni Saffron Leaf & Copper Tilla Embroidery
Hamiast Fashion
Art: KP.25046-XS
Description
In late autumn, as the first chill settles over Pampore, the saffron fields bloom for a few precious days, and Kashmir gathers its Kong, threads of crimson and gold worth more than their weight in silver. Wandeh Kong carries that treasure into the winter on a base of midnight black.
Across the yoke glow hand-worked Sozni saffron leaves in burnt orange, rust, crimson and saffron gold, like embers in the dark. Leaf by leaf, the artisan’s needle builds a dense, fiery band that follows the split neckline into a graceful V, framed by a fine copper Tilla vine as precise as a goldsmith’s setting. Copper Tilla bands, edged with a delicate red leaf stitch, trace the cuffs, outline both pockets and run along the side slits to the hem.
Dramatic yet effortless, Wandeh Kong is made for winter weddings, festive evenings and anywhere you want warmth with presence.
